Do you know how the coffee you drink every day is produced? And how much hand work goes into it?
I didn't.
So I went to Uganda with Lars Pilengrim of Lykke Coffee Farms to find out. He uses coffee as a tool to make a real difference in the farmers' lives, while protecting nature with regenerative methods. All so that we can keep growing, and drinking, coffee in the future.
I learned so much during that week in Uganda.
The team was Isak Friberg, me and our wonderful local filmmaker Deo Kuset. If you need something filmed in Uganda, with a smile, contact Deo.
This film is No. 8 in 100 Documentaries. Read more on the film's own page: Every Bean Has a Home. A year later I went to Brazil to follow the story further: The Last Generation of Coffee.
